Terms of Service

itsmybio is a matrimonial-context product. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or a profile. By using itsmybio, you confirm you meet this requirement.

Every account requires a unique phone number, enforced at the database level — one person can't hold multiple accounts across different sign-in methods using the same number. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for the accuracy of the information you provide.

itsmybio is a biodata-sharing and trust layer: you create a structured profile, lock the fields and photos you want kept private, generate a unique revocable link per share, and track who views it. itsmybio is not a matchmaking marketplace. There is no search, no discovery, and no matching engine — profiles are never browsable or surfaced to anyone who wasn't sent a specific link.

You agree not to:

• Upload biodata, photos, or content that isn't genuinely your own or that you don't have the right to share.
• Use the service to harass, impersonate, or misrepresent yourself or another person.
• Attempt to access another user's locked content by circumventing a link's visibility settings or the unlock-request flow.
• Use automated means to scrape, enumerate, or bulk-collect links, tokens, or profile data.

When someone opens a shared biodata link, they're asked for a name and (optionally) a phone number at a light identity gate. We do not verify this information. A viewer can type any name they like — there is no way for us to confirm it's real. Any notification you receive about who viewed your link, or who requested access, reflects only what that viewer typed, not a verified identity. itsmybio disclaims liability for any decision made in reliance on an unverified viewer's claimed name or phone number. Similarly, self-reported social handles/links (e.g. Instagram, LinkedIn) shown on a profile are exactly what the profile owner typed — they are never checked against the real account.

The free tier is permanent from signup: one profile, and a base of active share links that grows as friends you refer complete signup (see §7). Reaching enough successful referrals also earns "Premium member" status — the gold visual theme — independent of any real purchase. Earned Premium status does not itself expand your profile limit; it is not the same as a future paid purchase, which (when it ships) is a separate, one-time, non-recurring transaction.

Sharing your referral link/code, or a normal biodata link that carries your referral code, can earn you additional active link slots, Premium member status, and coins once a friend completes signup through it. Coins are a record-keeping ledger only until a real purchase flow exists — they are not currently redeemable for anything. We may adjust reward amounts or thresholds at any time; changes apply prospectively, never retroactively removing rewards already credited.

Writing or submitting proof of an app store review or rating is never a reward path— Google Play and Apple both prohibit rewarding users for reviews or ratings, and we don't. Any in-app prompt to rate the app uses only the platform's own native review prompt, never tied to any benefit.

itsmybio is provided on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, itsmybio and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including decisions made based on another user's biodata content or an unverified viewer's claimed identity (see §5). Screenshot protection on shared content is platform-specific and not a guarantee: real prevention on Android, detection-only on iOS, and deterrence only on the web — we don't claim otherwise.

You may stop using itsmybio at any time. To request deletion of your account and data, visit our Data Deletion Request page — it works without the app installed, and verifies your phone number via a one-time code before any request is recorded. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates §4 (Acceptable Use).

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of itsmybio will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of India.

We may update these Terms from time to time as the product evolves. We'll update the effective date above when we do. Continuing to use itsmybio after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. For questions, contact grievance@itsmybio.com.
